Saturation board
Description
Triaxial sample saturation is relatively time consuming. This process takes long from an hour in sands to several weeks in fine-grained samples. Therefore, beside triaxial apparatus, there are some saturation boards to set up and saturate the specimens simultaneously and after passing required time, one or more samples place under the jack and the test runs. This method considerably reduce the test time and in fact the test time on several samples decrease to a time for testing a single sample and finally this will result in time-cost saving. In current apparatus, two saturation boards are used to saturate samples.
