Dynamic Triaxial (Electromechanic/stress path)
This apparatus consists of loading frame, saturation board and control system. In loading frame, vertical load (10 kN) applies to sample by electro mechanic system. One of the most important features in electromechanic system in comparison with other types of Triaxial is displacement control in a more accurate way. Also, the apparatus has the ability of mechanical loading up to 3 Hertz.
Cell pressure and back pressure at the top and bottom of the specimen are controlled by embedded regulators in saturation board & the magnitude of each one reads with the nearest 0.1 kPa by sensors. In undrained tests pore water pressure variation is measured and drained shear strength parameters can be determined.
Control system is capable of applying vertical load (stress-control or strain-control) and All-around pressure (monotonic or cyclic). In apparatus software 4 successive phases can be defined that in each one deviator stress and All-around stress can be determined by user and the test results are shown as a graph during the test is performing. At the end, all readings are automatically saved as an Excel file. Result review of a specific test is not only possible in the excel software, but also in apparatus software.
Excluding regulators, all-around pressure can be controlled by mounted Servo pressure system on saturation board. Due to this, all stress paths can be performed in q-p.
This apparatus can be promoted to wave velocity measurement and unsaturated tests system.
