Strength of Materials
The strength of materials is commonly referring to high stress values, which a specific type of material withstand by revealing neither damages nor plastic deflections. Universal testing machines (UTM) are applied worldwide for determining mechanical strength of various materials (e.g. rebar, plate, cable, textile, etc.) in terms of tension, compression, and flexure. In case of special loading setups such as physical modellings, whereas UTM is not applicable, actuators are utilized in accordance with the loading requirements.
